This week for target writting we, did the short on youtube called lou. We practised how to use simple sentences and compond ones, a simple sentence like the dog ran or the cat walked. A compound one is the dog ran but the cat walked a compond sentence is when you jion to simple ones together. So for this weeks create we, were tasked with making a simple and compond, with a buddy and with the lou video.

Poem Week Of Otatahi

 This week for writting we were tasked to poem about a place in Otatahi. I did it on Akaroa because I went there and I thought it would be fun to do it. It's a place were many memories were made. The way up to Akaroa is very scary because there are no bearings. Here is a sceen shot of my poem.

Pa Direction

 For math this week we were trying to find the cords  for Onawe Pa and Kaiapoi Pa and we were trying to find out where it was. It was confusing at first but when I figured out what to do I was blazing through it The cords for Onawe Pa is 43.774s 172.925E and the cords for Kaiapoi Pa is 43.225S 172.392E. This week for maths we made a pa it was fun and was hard because you have to mesher the perimater and the area. here is a screen shot.

Writing - Tuna (Eels)

 Over the last couple of weeks we have been researching information about Tuna (eels). We have been learning to write a report using the information we have found.

Our challenges were to include a complex sentence and to use a hyphen followed by a list.

The longfin eel are easy to spot if you know what your looking for the long fin eel has really big wrinkles. There are a few things you should know the longfin eel.(4 things) This eel - eat’s live food. Small longfin eel living amongst the river gravels feed of on insects. eels are  snakelike and slimy. They grab a prey using the element of surprise and wrap its body around it until there prey stops moving so it's easer to eat. The eel hides in the shade - slimy, scaly,slippery

The summer learning journey activity

 Today at school we learned about the summer learning journey it's basicly type compotishion to help with your smarts because theres this thing called the summer slide so today we did one of the activitys. The activity was to use a couluring book to ad our own artistic flare to the art that was drawn
